As we inch towards September again, it’s nearly time for us to resume our free coding and making sessions.

Mini Makers

Weekly on Wednesdays from 4.30-5.30pm, aimed at ages 8+.

The first session is now open for bookings – Wednesday 6th September, BBC Micro:Bits

The whole group follows the same activity, which we change every 2 to 3 weeks. There’s a bit of learning about new software or hardware, followed by some challenges at the end.

There’ll be animation, BBC micro:bits, LEGO Robots, electronics, 3D Printing, and much more!

Teens

In a change to these sessions, they are now weekly on Tuesday evenings, 4.30-6pm, aimed at ages 11+.

Bring your own idea or project, and be supported by each other and our team to help develop it. Or be inspired by our kit, and explore more about the technologies that interest you!

Our other digital inclusion work

We’re open for Digital Drop-ins on Thursdays and Fridays, 12-5pm. We can help you get online safely and confidently, complete essential tasks, and help you build confidence using your devices and apps!

We are also continuing to provide donated devices to people who have no other means of getting online.  If you have an old laptop, tablet, or phone that you would be happy to donate to us, we will make sure it is cleaned of all data, refurbished, and given to someone who is in need of it. Just drop it in to our base, or if it’s a phone, in to one of our ‘phone bank’ boxes!
