Thanks to Coastal Communities funding we were able to help all sectors of the community:
- Created 20 new full time local tech and digital jobs, and safeguarded 8 existing jobs
- Secured pledges of £1.5m to bid for an office building to convert into a tech space (sadly we were outbid!)
- Opened a new HQ at Kestrel House in Devonshire ward, Eastbourne
- Ran coding and making sessions for 180 students
- Ran a “TechMatch” scheme to mentor ‘A’ level computer science students on real life projects (which won a SPARK award)
- Convened a round table of local industry, education and government leaders
- Helped Boho 2015 winter event participants with making skills
- Ran #MondayMoney business support events
- Ran #DigitalDrinks social events
