Changes are afoot. We’ve been working in a space in East Sussex College, in Eastbourne for over four years and it’s been wonderful to meet students and staff and introduce young people to the college.

We’ve realised, especially over the last year or so, that we’ve not been accessible enough to some of the people we really want and need to work with. We want to change that, so we’re moving to new premises.

After a long hard search through the spring and summer, we finally found a place we can be happy in.  We’ve signed a lease on 23A Cavendish Place, a stone’s throw from Eastbourne Pier.  We’ll still keep a small presence in East Sussex College because we’re really keen to continue to build our work with their students.

Our new base is close to the centre of our town so that more people can get to us more easily. It’s got a large, bright shop front so that we look welcoming when people come and see us. Plus we now have a basement to use as a workshop. It’s the ideal set up!

Our furniture and stuff will be moved in before the end of October, and we’ll spend the rest of the year getting everything set up just how we like it.

We’re hoping to run some small, initial activities before the end of December, but our main programme will start early in 2022.

We’ve had to suspend our laptop refurbishment programme whilst we move, but we’ll get to it as soon as we can.
