Our move to the Town Hall continues are we’re starting to look ahead to when we’ll be delivering our services from the lovely “Meeting Room 1”.
We’ll have space for more people to come in see us and we want to make absolutely sure people feel welcome and comfortable in the new space.
For the first time ever, we’re looking to recruit some adult volunteers to help us.
No digital skills are necessary.
If you’re someone who enjoys chatting to people and making sure they feel welcomed this might be just the thing for you.
In addition to saying “hi” when people arrive at the front door and showing them to our room, you may find yourself just sitting and having a chat and a cuppa with someone who isn’t having a good day, they may be worried and anxious and they might just want someone to have a chat to.
We often have information for people to let them know what services are available, we also provide supported referrals for a number of different local services – from Citizens Advice to the Foodbank.
Most of our digital support is provided by a very young team – your life experience could be a real game changer for clients and young workers alike.
