Eastbourne Town Hall is becoming a cultural, creative & digital hub. This is a really exciting move, particularly for TechResort because we’ll be moving our HQ there.
The paperwork has been signed and we’re starting the work to move our gear and our work across town.
We’ll keep some digital inclusion drop-ins in 23A Cavendish Place for as long as possible, until our final move in September 2026. In the meantime we’ll invite people to come and see the new space.
Why are we moving?
We love our place near the pier and it’s been instrumental in helping us develop our drop-ins and our device repurposing work. However, we’ve been busier than we ever imagined so we need more space to grow into. Also, the space in the Town Hall is a little more flexible, and the room for our drop-in service is larger so will be more comfortable on drop-in days.
We really want to bring with us as many people who already come and see us as possible – both young people and adults.
We already know that the public transport links are a little better and there are bike racks right outside. It’ll also be slightly easier for those people needing to drop people and things off.
We want to take the best of Cavendish Place with us and make it better so we need to know from as many people as possible how we might be able to do that.
We have two short anonymous surveys:
The first for adults who use, or would like to use, our digital skills sessions.
The second for young people and their parents/carers who come, or would like to come, to our creative digital sessions for young people.
We love you to tell us how you hope we’ll move forward and we’ll do our best to make our services more useful and more fun.
