Blog: Seasons Greetings

A seasonal update and a little news…

It’s traditional to give everyone a bit of an update at this time of year so here goes…

As well as working with children and young people in workshops and work experience, we’ve helped people with their digital skills across East Sussex over 1700 times in 2025.  In our first year we saw 300.

This year has also been a bumper one for  devices.

With the help of Eastbourne Borough Council, N & P Sussex, Community Calling, National Databank, City Fibre,  Balfour Beatty and their supply chain organisations and other donors we have made devices available to people who really needed it:

We’ve readied 107 laptop and desktop computers and 236 phones to ensure that people can get and stay online, keeping in touch with families, friends and support, apply for jobs and other essential tasks.

Very briefly, we managed to clear our waiting list – but the need continues so we’ll be cracking on again in January.

That brings us to plans for 2026.  You may have see in local press that Eastbourne Town Hall is to become a creative and cultural hub.  We’re really pleased to be invited to become a part of this new community space and excited that we’ll be able to share this beautiful building with so many members of community.

The image above is a sneak preview of the door to our lovely new drop-in space which will allow us to make our sessions a bit more comfortable for everyone.

We’re very early in our plans but we’ll let everyone know more as soon as we can.  We’re planning to show everyone the new space and find out how we can make our services work even better.

If you’ve a spare bob or two, and would like a way to support all our work, donations are always very welcome – they go a long way to being able to offer digital help to anyone that needs it.

All that remains is to wish everyone a Happy Christmas and to thank everyone for their support this year.
