Blog: What’s on this summer at TechResort?

Learn more about our drop-ins, library sessions and open days this summer

We’ve been delighted to welcome so many visitors of all ages to our new HQ at 23a Cavendish Place over the past few months.

From a group of adult beginners learning the basics of 3D Printing, through to our Mini Makers tinkering with CodeBugs, and our Teens building LEGO robots and Pi-controlled cameras, it’s been great fun.

We will resume our weekly Mini Makers and fortnightly Teens sessions in September. They’ll be available to book from the usual place on our website

What’s on in the meantime?

Digital drop ins

Every Friday from 12-3pm we will still have our digital drop in sessions where anyone is welcome to come along and get help or try out a bit of kit.

Free library sessions

We’re running free sessions across East Sussex on behalf of the Library service for ages 8+ as part of the Gadgeteers Summer Reading Challenge. Check out those events here

Open Days

We will be having two exciting open days at our HQ in town, on Wednesday 27th and Thursday 28th July, fromĀ 10am-4pm.

These are open to anyone to come and say hi, learn more about what we do, and what kit we have. We’d love to see people come and tinker and chat with our friendly team – bring the family!

Finally…

Keeping our sessions free is important to us because we believe learning digital skills should be open to everyone. There is a contactless ‘tap-to-donate’ card machine available at our HQ, or you can also donate online. Any voluntary donations would be greatly appreciated so that we can continue our work.

If you have any questions or feedback about our sessions, please do get in touch.
