Blog: Mini Makers are back!

Our weekly Wednesday sessions are back!

CodeBug controlling an LED

We loved welcoming back our Mini Makers to the first session of the new academic year yesterday.

Everyone had a go at using a CodeBug, a small programmable device which you can control with drag-and-drop code. You can make text or patterns display on the on-board LEDs, control it using the buttons, and even add electronic components to it!

The CodeBugs make for a fantastic introduction to coding, and everyone loved having a go!

Where do I sign up?

Our Mini Makers sessions run every Wednesday, from 4.30-5.30pm, and are suitable for ages 8-12.

You can book your tickets for FREE at techresort.org/events. Fiona and the team will be delighted to see you!

Coming up, we have two BBC micro:bit, and two LEGO Robot sessions. You can book into just one of each, or both – there are plenty of fun challenges to try!

All of our sessions are free to sign up, because they are generously funded by donations and grants. We believe that learning digital skills should be accessible to everyone.

Any questions? Drop us a message using our contact form.
