Today saw the first TechResort Teens event in Eastbourne. As you can see from the photo, it was a packed house with plenty of kids and young adults eager to get started.
There was all sorts on offer such as mucking about with Arduino kits and a Raspberry Pi, Kano, Blockly, MIT App Inventor, building servers and plenty more. Check out more photos here.
There’s no chalk and talk – everyone is encouraged to jump in and have a go, with help from the session leaders and mentors as needed.
Next session
TechResort Teens will be held every other Saturday at Cohub from 11am to 1pm.
If you’ve not been before and would like to join us next time, please get in touch.
Our thanks to…
- @aidandelaney and @donnacomerford for leading the session and bringing along so much expertise and kit
- All the mentors who gave up their Saturday morning including @paulbendall, @erocdrahs, @digitaltonic, @gmankelow and @tntcomputing
- @cohub for being amazing hosts as always
- @artsworkltd for their continued support and funding for the #ConnectiveCulture project of which this is part
And a final thanks to everyone who came along and made today such a great success. It shows there’s so much talent in Eastbourne and we can’t wait to see what happens next.
