Blog: TechMatch is go!

Our new project matches talented local digital, tech and creative students with organisations who need their help

We were delighted to win money from the Coastal Communities Fund in January. And we’re thrilled to launch another of the projects it’s helping to fund.

Between now and Christmas our ‘TechMatch’ project is aiming to match 10 students with ‘clients’ and we’ve already made a start. All of the students so far are from the computer science ‘A’ level at Sussex Downs College. We’d particularly like to thank Kev Jones and Clare Westbury Tong from the college for their help so far.

Our first projects

  • Lewis is working with the Towner Gallery to create a virtual tour of the South Downs
  • Sean is helping No Pork Pies create an A-B test rig to measure how content performs
  • Alex is building a client ticket tracker for PRG
  • Tom is helping Kev and I devise an easier way of matching more students next year. Right now it involves a spot of head scratching and some spreadsheets

We’re in late discussions with six more potential clients – exciting times! If you have a project that may suit one of our students please get in touch.

Please note!

We’re not able to build you a website as they’re generally not complicated enough to qualify for ‘A’ level coursework. But we can recommend many great local firms who can help.
