Blog: Exciting new sessions at TRHQ!

We have new sessions available to book – there’s something for everyone!

Now that we are settled in to our new office at 23A Cavendish Place, we have some more digital sessions and drop-ins for people of all ages

Young people

For young people, we have two groups:

Mini Makers (ages 8 to 12)

Come and try out new pieces of equipment and skills, following self-guided instructions with our friendly staff on hand to help! These run from 16:30 to 17:30 every other Wednesday.

Teens (ages 11 to 18)

Come and join our friendly group of young people, supported by our friendly team! You can bring your own idea to work on, or be inspired by our equipment such as 3D printers, Arduino boards or LEGO robots. These run from 10:30 to 12:00 every other Saturday.

Adults

What the Heck is an Algorithm Anyway?

Join us for a friendly and informal session to understand the basics of coding. You may want to help your kids with their coding activities, you might wonder whether it’s a skill you’d like to develop, or you might just be interested in what all the fuss is about. You can even try creating a simple game using a programming language!

Absolute Beginners (3D Printing)

A short introduction to 3D printing aimed at adults who are curious to learn more about how it works, and how you can make designs to be printed.

Digital Drop Ins

Alternating between Mondays and Wednesdays from the 9th May, 1-3pm. You can drop in for free help, or book up to three free 90 minute appointments for more specific 1:1 help.

All of these sessions are free because we believe learning digital skills should be open to everyone. There is a contactless ‘tap-to-donate’ card machine available at our HQ, and any voluntary donations would be greatly appreciated so that we can continue to keep our sessions free.

Hope to see you soon.
