One of the key parts of what makes TechResort different is that most of our sessions have student mentors supporting workshop attendees.
Obviously, we also have adult leaders to make sure everyone is safe and happy, but the students are brilliant for individual and small group support.
They set the room up, and they put stuff away at the end of the session but far more importantly, they’re role models to the learners in the room. From helping them solve problems, to encouraging people to stick with a problem and not to get disheartened by things not working first time, they’re our mainstay in getting more young people enjoying coding and making.
The picture shows the members of our current student team: Ethan, Dylan, Sean, James and David.
We’re wondering which of our current learners might take up the baton in future…
