Theo is TechResort’s first genius student. Over the next few months we’re supporting him to build a digital project of his choice – an Android app showing what’s on information for Eastbourne.

If time allows, Theo will also be looking at easy ways for event organisers to submit their info. And he’s planning an API so anyone will be able to use the data.

Theo says: “It’s great to be doing something for Eastbourne and being a test pilot for Tech Resort. There’s plenty of talent in Eastbourne and TR is giving us a chance to show what we’re made of”.

I’m mentoring Theo along with Adam McNaught-Davis of Lindon East and the Town Team. Although Theo really hasn’t needed much help and is showing us the ropes more often than not.

We’re looking for more teen geniuses and this programme will form the backbone of what TechResort does. Alongside this we’re starting to look for funds to launch fortnightly code clubs for younger students. These two initiatives, we hope, will give Eastbourne students practical and genuine experience.
