Blog: Teens go ‘rifting’

Yesterday 26 young people (and plenty of big kids) had their first taste of the Oculus Rift. It’s a gaming headset that makes you feel part of the action.

Huge cheers to Howard Griffin, programme director of the MA in Architectural Visualisation at the University of Kent, for sharing this amazing technology and his students’ work.

Also hats doffed to:

  • Donna and Jon for organising yesterday’s event
  • Dr Aiden for being a great warm up act
  • Cohub for kindly hosting us

Needless to say we’ll be running this event again. We may even buy a couple of headsets so we can play more often.

We’re running plenty more special events this year, so please sign up to our newsletter or follow us on Facebook or Twitter to not miss out.

Thanks to Jon Pratty for the video and plenty more great photos.
