Earlier in the week we held our first #MondayMoney event for the local tech, digital and creative sector.

This series is all about unlocking new business opportunities. If there’s no new money to be had, we won’t cover it.

We were joined by Chris Farthing from AdviceCloud (pictured) who filled us in on the two main government frameworks for purchasing digital services, the long standing ‘GCloud’ and the brand new ‘Digital Outcomes and Services scheme which launches any day now. They represent the best opportunity for small and medium sized companies to win government work in years, with jargon and paperwork cut to a minimum.

There was a great turnout with a dozen local businesses represented. We understand that several are already in detailed discussions with Chris about getting on to the frameworks – this will be a first for Eastbourne.
